As a painter and crafter, I highly admire the skills of those who can build things. My uncle was a dentist whose hobby was woodworking and he made the most beautifully detailed pieces, some of which I inherited. A walnut side table with corkscrew legs and a marble top is one of my favorites. My son-in-law has the talent to fix and build anything he puts his mind to, to the point that we nicknamed him “Macguyver” due to his inventiveness. But the art of woodworking fascinates me and if I were younger and had the space I would be inclined to pursue turning bare wood into furniture with glowing finishes. The best I’ve done with that is to refinish pieces I’ve picked up at yard sales, but that’s nothing compared to taking blocks of wood and refining them into something else. I guess it’s like the thrill of taking tubes of paint and using the colors to produce images. Like magic.

A Toddler Bed for Thomas

Thomas is so adorable. He has grown into a very handsome and intelligent young man. He runs around the house and explores his environment quite intently. He is learning new things every single day, and he is quite a little talker. Thomas is also not afraid to assert himself. He will tell you what he wants without any hesitation. He is not at all afraid to give his opinion, either. He will just say things out right. Thomas is growing up so fast. I cannot believe how fast he is growing. He is growing like a weed.

Thomas is getting his new bed today. We are going to get him a Pooh toddler bed because Pooh is his favorite character. We were going to get him a Sesame Street bed at first, but we do not think that Thomas will like that quite as much. We want Thomas to be happy with the bed that we get him, hence the reason we will get him his favorite.

I have lots of moments of strange and just plain weird over the course of a day. I think it’s because of the way I look at the world. A minute ago I glanced at the person next to me and thought it would be interesting if an animator turned them into a cartoon fish. It set me to giggling and then I couldn’t stop seeing the entire room as a big aquarium. The person, learn to play guitar behind the counter looked like a giant diver with bubbles coming out of his head, the little kid in the corner pleading with his mother to let him learn to play guitar looked like a baby turtle while his sister looked like a starfish. Then the person across the room from me who started staring waved his eyestalks at me and said, “Miss are you ok?” I couldn’t help myself, I said, “I’m sorry was I too loud, don’t get crabby.”

My Awesome Friend

Right now, I feel like crap. My allergies are at their worse. My allergies are making me feel tired and sick. My throat is so sore that I can’t even swallow, and mucus is dripping down the back of my throat, which is so annoying. My eyes are also burning and itching really bad. I have difficulty keeping them open. On top of all of that, my sinuses are killing me. I have a sinus headache that is as big as Mars, and i feel like my sinuses are going to split open any second and explode all inside of my brain.

I told my best friend about my predicament, and she told me that she would be right over. She had some things that would make me feel better. She is a wonderful person and is always trying to make things better.

An hour after talking to me, she shows up. She gave me some allergy medicine that she says does wonders, and then she did the unexpected. She gave me beautiful chess sets with fancy gold chess pieces. I cannot believe the money she spent on me.

This is what happened my aunt loves telling bedtime stories with tricky characters, her granddaughter decided to act out all the characters in the book, and my daughter discovered her little plan. Only that this time my niece got a tattoo to represent the wicked witch of the west. My daughter asked her where she got the tattoo but the little girl was adamant to say who did it. Then we discovered that the tattoo would fade with time so we still had to know who drew the tattoo. Finally, I planned to buy her out of the little secret; at least I knew she loved burgers so I told her if she told me the person who did her tattoos for girls then I would buy her real big burger. She believed me and told me that Sergeant Dundee did her tattoo and that took us back right from where we started.

It takes a while to move on when one realizes that the person they treasured most was the first one to shortchange them. The deal was that I was to take mother’s jewelry and transport to my cousin in New York and it was even tougher since I was using the airline. My mom was okay with the whole thing since she needed my cousin looking beautiful during honeymoon. I ensured that there was little or no discrepancy while transporting the valuables between mum and all the parties involved. I used some non-reusable security seals in a well-disguised package and it reached the rightful destination on time if not intact. The only thing I did not understand is that why did my cousin lie to my mum that I sent the wrong jewelry box? Otherwise, they jeweler may have been swapped or she is lying but I wish I knew the whole truth!
